Transportation

Inside the city -

The City has excellent accessibility to anywhere you need to be. Miramichi is connected by a network of highways and three bridges link both sides of the Miramichi River.  Cab fare to the closest shopping district is less than $5 one way.

 

Outside the city -

Air – Miramichi is less than an 80 minute drive to either the Bathurst Airport, Bathurst, NB, or the Moncton International Airport, Moncton, NB

Rail – Miramichi is on the VIA Rail route connecting Halifax, NS, to Montreal, QC

Bus –  SMT/Acadian Lines Ltd. provides bus service to cities within the province and beyond. The local depot is located at the VIA Rail station in the west of Miramichi.

The climate of Miramichi is typical of Atlantic Canada - exhilarating winters to pleasant springs, beautiful warm summer months and crisp autumns complete with spectacular color as the leaves change.
